Xeon gold CPUs seem to be in the sweet spot for price/performance, platinum seem overpriced.

To give an indication of what these are going for on eBay, the 6152 (which is the top of the range I'm looking at) are USD $299, the 6122 are $119.

NB will ignore private messages from newly created members with zero forum post history.

Have some 6148's for 325,- euro each... but those might be cheaper locally?

Platinums indeed overpriced.. many advertise with 8160 for say twice the price of the 6148 (and 6148 is 10 percent faster single thread / total performance)

I have 2 Xeon Gold 6148, at $200 each. I got them for a project I never started I sale them for the same price I got them, no funny business here. I got them on homelabsales and I have a lot buy/sale history there.
