Hey guys - In one of my shiny new Supermicro systems, I have the 2x 10gBase-T riser - the AOC-2UR68-i2XT. This is based on the Intel x540. It looks like this:

I'd like to swap it with the SFP+ version - the AOC-2UR68-i2XS (This is based on the Intel 82599), if possible. It looks like this:

Anybody interested? If you have one for sale (at a reasonable price), I might be interested as well.

Good call, the SFP+ are lower power and noticeably more efficient than -T/RJ45.

While that's true, the difference is not huge or anything. I'd be ok with using RJ45...except my infrastructure is all SFP for >1g bandwidth. I'd actually have to buy converters to convert two ports on my switch to -T instead of SFP.

But that's me, I'm sure there are others who use 10Gbase-T, which is why I threw this idea out.
