Does the 'Manage MegaRAID advanced Software Options' link show in MSM or WebBIOS ?
Being an IBM it might be limited to LSI only, then :( if not :)
Does this include fastpath and cachecade? if so pm me or email

I'm interested in an LSI 9260-8i/9280-8e or (any brand/cross flashed/etc) with cachecade/fastpath working included

It shows up under MSM and when I click on it it shows:

MegaRAID SafeStore Unlimited Secured
MegaRAID RAID6 Unlimited Factory Installed
MegaRAID RAID5 Unlimited Secured.

I dont know about CacheCade...I see the option but I dont have any new drives to create with it.

It would either have a physical key or the msm would show the features enabled.

I dont know why you would need CacheCade when this card has 1 gig of Cache and im able to hit 3 gb/s read and write on it. Don't see the need to put a SSD as front cache for slower drives on the backend. Unless you are writing huge files often.

My offer for the card is $500 incl delivery, my best offer.

I'd like to do a write up on it, and compare cachecade on the SAS2208 vs SAS2108.

For you my friend...anything. You have been so much help to so many people. PM me your address and I will have the card shipped out to you. You can even pay me after you receive the card and tested working.

Just like the LSI9261 which also takes no physical keys.

CC 2.1, more reading to do, wonder what the .1 adds.
Software keys will probably become the norm for LSI cards, easier for LSI to control and cheaper to implement.

I'll add another thread with latest SAS2208 drivers, FW and SBR's when the time comes.

There is a Cachecade 1 key on Ebay (for LSI9265) but it's $249

I've not seen software feature keys from IBM for any cards.
Probably hard for IBM to administer these kind of keys
