Flash M5014 to IT mode?

Hi guys,

is it possible to flash IBM M5014 to IT mode?

I know M5015 can be and I already have LSI FW (IR mode) on M5014, but for ZFS, we need IT mode.

Yes it is, there is even a very old tutorial from STH.

Basically it is a LSI9260-8i with half the RAM cache. So you can Flash to latest IT for LSI9260-8i

That guide is for cross flashing from IBM MegaRAID firmware to LSI MegaRAID firmware, not IT mode firmware.

Broadcom doesn't have any official IT mode firmware for the SAS2108 chipset. Theoretically, the architecture looks compatible with the SAS2008 chipset, but whenever I've tried the 2118it.bin (The SAS2008 IT mode firmware) on a SAS2108 or similar card, it has always failed to flash.

Forgot that the M5014 is 2108 based one. So you are right, no IT Firmware.
