Copper-background. No fiber until now.

Cisco sx350x-8x with 10 copper ports all speed switch, 2 are either sfp+ -or- copper.
Cisco has servers, backup and currently a 1G connection to the current 48 port switch.
Every server has multiports of 10Ge copper with only one in use
Distance of the servers to the cisco < 3 feet.

Replacing 48 port Netgear, all copper 1g, with Mikrotik 48 port 1Ge copper and 4 sfp+ at 10G. Replacing it because every time we allow increased speeds between the servers on the cisco, this switch goes to hell. Every time, even if it's only one server.

48 Port has clients, printers, 16 high res video cameras and is a bit over half full.

Distance between the switches < 2 meters.

So want to connect the Mikrotik sfp+ to the cisco at 10G. Either I get one transceiver to copper and plug up to the copper port or get pair of fiber transceivers and a piece of fiber of some sort and plug up my very first bit of fiber (and hopefully the last).

Does it matter which is used? If fiber is better, what kind of transceiver/cable should I get.
