I need to move some database files between VM's in the same Proxmox box and would like to see if there is a faster option to increase the speed.
Example : Copying a 56 Gb database from a Ubuntu 16.04 vm to a Xubuntu 16.04 vm via the default virtual networking, VirtilO, shows a eta of about 2-3 hours.
According to network monitor in the Ubuntu vm its averaging about 4 MiB/s. from 1.6 to a little over 10 at times.
Anyway to speed this up?
Any faster virtual network device?
Should I just accept that is as good as it gets and go play World of Tanks until its finished?
EDIT: The top speed is much faster now, up to over 100 MiB/s at times and it looks like it's doing good now. Went from a 3 hour eta to about ~45 minutes.
Don't know why it took about 10 minutes to get up to speed.
