I'm experiencing a wierd issue with the VMware ESXi 6.0 U2
HW:
E5-2670 build with Intel S2600CP2J / Intel Chassis P4216 from the E5-2670 deal thread.
I have a mix of 2 x 4TB Seagate NAS 6Gbps and old 2x2TB Hitachi 3gbps in IstarUSA BPN-DE340SS connected to H310 flashed to IT mode with P20.04 FW.
The 4TB drive keeps falling off when I tried to move a VM from the old drive. eject and reinsert it's on again. Don't know where to start -
My suspicion is the backplane /connctor in the IstarUSA cage but the following could also be a factor.
SAS to 4 SATA Cable (New) - 5 year old 2TB drive seem to do just fine on one of the 4 SATA ports in the same cable.
HBA - How do I test it other than reflashing?
Appreciate any thoughts & pointers
