I have 54x25Gb and 6x100Gb edge-core switches based on ASIC cavium xp70, 96x10Gb based ASIC Broadcom Trident2 56850
Does anyone have any information on these switches?

ICOS operating system installed on 5700-96X-A-AC-F

Well, it depends on whether the control pannel is x86 or powerpc. As normal sonic image is for x86, and your machine seemed to be a powerpc version, i don't think it would be as easy as you think

I think based on the information on what the switch consists of, you can choose the operating system
The cavium web archive states that the xp70 is fully compatible with the xp80. This can be useful considering that there are no switches other than the dellemc 5100 based on the xp70. Based on the CNX80*(xp80), there are several design references on the OCP website
Cavium's CNX680XX and CNX780XX families are fully software compatible with the volume shipping CNX80 family and leverage the same field proven programmable engines. This enables transparent software migration for current CNX80 customers, as well as use of the entire XPliant suite of software tools.
