Hello All,

What are most folks using for small USB boot & OS drives? I want Static and Dynamic Wear Leveling, Bad Block Management, etc. But it is very hard to decipher which nano thumb drives have ANY wear leveling. Any recommendations? ...Pricey, but USB - SIP Pen Drive FxAce looks promising. ...or set up a klugey usb to m.2 adapter :)?

My use case is setting up a Wyse 3040 as a small home server for apps like PiHole, etc. So no Sata or M.2 SSD ports available, must use USB. Any recommendations?

Cheers,
ABQ

M.2 slot on the Wyse 3040 is SDIO, so, with the right adapter, could use any of the readily available high endurance SD cards. See: Wyse 3040 Thin Client

@BlueFox, thank you for the link. ...regrettably requires a custom pcb design and no 'buy it now' option.

I always wished the Wyse 3040 m.2 slot was SATA or PCIe interface, not niche SDIO. ...my hopes are dimming for a simple, easy, & cheap endurance solution;). A Samsung Fit USB thumb drive looks semi-promising for speed & potential wear leveling.
