Yeah I'd accept that astronomical price as well lol

But yea, seems very expensive? Am I mistaken?

Okay, what would you consider a good price for Intel Optane PMEM 200 DDR4-3200 512GB sticks? And where are you finding them?
$50 or less per DIMM. Local eWaste. eBay.

But truthfully 200 Series is a lot less common. 512GB even less so. So what do I know.

How much would you be willing to buy 100 series at 128GB and 256GB?

That was the same seller I got a bunch of 100 series for $20 for less from

Granted a bunch did not work and they had to keep sending me replacements lol

I'm not in the market for PMEM 100 sticks of any capacity so I'm not sure. But it does sound like I missed out on a lot of deals and interest for that previous gen a year or two back.

Would I have gone for PMEM 100 512GB in an appropriate build at that time? Maybe!

I'm sorry, but : What is it ?
Optane DCPMM is something between flash and RAM. Optane is non volatile (like flash). It's much faster than normal flash, slower than normal RAM. It has higher capacity than normal RAM (although this doesn't necessarily apply anymore with DDR5 and stacked DIMMs).

It can be used as very fast disk (App Mode), or to extend your main RAM (memory mode), or a mix between those.

is it usable with an epyc cpu?
No. Sadly not.
