Okay, what would you consider a good price for Intel Optane PMEM 200 DDR4-3200 512GB sticks? And where are you finding them?
$50 or less per DIMM. Local eWaste. eBay.
But truthfully 200 Series is a lot less common. 512GB even less so. So what do I know.
How much would you be willing to buy 100 series at 128GB and 256GB?

I've always just searched for when I needed something and refreshed that tab regularly until I found what I wanted.
I'm not in the market for PMEM 100 sticks of any capacity so I'm not sure. But it does sound like I missed out on a lot of deals and interest for that previous gen a year or two back.
Would I have gone for PMEM 100 512GB in an appropriate build at that time? Maybe!

Optane DCPMM is something between flash and RAM. Optane is non volatile (like flash). It's much faster than normal flash, slower than normal RAM. It has higher capacity than normal RAM (although this doesn't necessarily apply anymore with DDR5 and stacked DIMMs).
It can be used as very fast disk (App Mode), or to extend your main RAM (memory mode), or a mix between those.

How much power consumption would you say is average for a 128GB DDR4-3200 ECC RDIMM? How about a 128GB LRDIMM?
EDIT: here's one reference I've seen before for 256GB RDIMMs and LRDIMMs https://product.skhynix.com/products/dram/module/ddr4dm.go. 512GB PMEM 200 power consumption is a little high but I don't see it as "nuts" high per se.
