Dont get me wrong, I still think it's a killer deal if the procs show up in good shape. Been on the fence for awhile looking to replace some E5-2650Ls in single socket servers. One of the sellers accepted my offer of 2@$120. Bummer about no combined shipping, but I can live with that.
And I *just* got my whitebox Proxmox build with 2670v2 procs racked back up this past weekend...
get both! lolDont get me wrong, I still think it's a killer deal if the procs show up in good shape. Been on the fence for awhile looking to replace some E5-2650Ls in single socket servers.
Now I just need to convince the purchasing committee that the 32GB DIMMs I'm watching should go under the Christmas gift budget.
Afaik those Inventec boards only work with V1 CPUs.There 's even one that's less than the price of 1 cpu:
sorry to hear that... is this a new batch of 6 cpu from this time or from the last round a while back? well, worst come to worst there's always ebay protection.Afaik those Inventec boards only work with V1 CPUs.
By the way, my 6 CPUs from ccs_service have arrived, and they're all in pretty bad shape. Only 2 of them were more or less fine, the other 3 had some dents and scratches, and one CPU has a huge dent on the contacts (with several contacts missing) so it's pretty much broken, not even going to try that one since there's a chance it'll fry something on the board. Still testing the 5 that might be working, and (if they're ok) then will have to return the 6th one somehow. Has anyone returned any CPUs to that seller? What was the experience, how did it go?
It's from the last round a while back. I'm not in US so using freight forwarding and then was traveling for a week, only got my hands on those a couple of days ago.is this a new batch of 6 cpu from this time or from the last round a while back?
Another link to one even cheaper and also include the i/o shield and two passive ilm coolers :if you guys see an around $100 dual mb that works with v2 please let the group know
cheapest i can find is 190 shipped

Zero communication from the seller. Had to appeal to ebay who told me to return it anyways. IRL stuff came up and I missed the return window. Now I have to call their customer service. What was the experience, how did it go?
;( so seller doesn't respond when you sent msg? that sucks... but of course he responds when he wants more money as after i sent him an initial offer...lol...Zero communication from the seller. There are a few E5-2697 v2 for sale on eBay close to the $300 mark. (They were even cheaper using the coupon codes last week!)I'd love to buy this but apparently even though it ships to Australia, it doesn't actually ship to any of our states, oh eBay global how i hate your broken mess.
