That was a much better buy if you can still get it. Getting a working replacement Dell BBU for a low price is a pain, I purchased and returned two "new" ones that were in worse shape than my original before finally scrapping my H800 for the rs25sb008.

I'm all for cheap alternatives but I don't see any cheap Intel brand cards or the actual LSIs at all :/

Goto Ebay Seller store "Kalleyomalley"

search for Intel H2312 (12 x 3.5" version) or Intel H2216 (16 x 2.5" version)

If they do not have stock currently, wait, they always get new stock, offer 50% to 60% off the Ebay list price.
If they are in selling mood, they will accept 50%, otherwise, offer 55%. If you must have it, offer 60%.
I think most seller aware Ebay bucks promotion days, they will not bargain as much during the promotion days.

Last year Oct, I brought my first Intel 4 nodes for $750 - $10% ebay bucks, they won't go lower. Then I want to buy second server, they won't take $750, but later they sold one to another ebay user for $600 in Jan-2015. Go figure.

Their shipping charge is very reasonable as well.

Yes,
2 PS, 4 Intel S2600 nodes, 8 heatsink,s, 12 disk trays, rails.

They had 2 listing last week, one listing for $1350, one listing for $1500.
I made BO on the $1350 listing.
