I have a Dell MD1000 drawer that is currently connected to a Perc 5/e card. I purchased a SFF-8470 to SFF-8087 cable to allow me to connect the MD1000 to the open internal port on the P410 card in my server that the internal drives currently connect to.
Last night I moved the MD1000 over to the P410 but it wasn't able to see it or any of the 15 drives so I ended up going back to the previous configuration. A this point I'm not sure where to go or why it won't show up. The P410 is on the latest firmware (6.64 something iirc). From the research I've done I see no reason why it wouldn't be recognized.
