Hello everyone,
I just wanted to share my experience of a Dell H755P adapter in a Non-Dell server.
Obviously the phrase of your mileage may vary holds here.
I am using the H755P in an Intel S2600STBR board in an Intel P4000xmuxx chassis. The OS is server 2019. I am using an Intel RAID cage.
I can configure the card in BIOS or by using Broadcom LSA software (LSA v8.002.016.000). The card is at the latest firmware.
With a 40mm fan 2" from the heatsink, the card maintains 40°C.
The cable I use was purchased on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B5D2K1HP?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details).
I have a Dell H750P and another H755P on order from eBay.
The card works well, and appears to be stable. It does work with Non-Dell drives, but will complain in the event log in the LSA. Dell drives, no complaint.
