Not sure if this question specifically fits here but I am looking for some information if Dell Compellent SC200 (dumb) expansion enclosure could be fitted with a 10N16 controller.
SC200 currently has got 2x EMM SC2 expansion SAS-2 6G cards in it. I have removed the card and pinout/layout looks promising and compatible but a lot is happening in the firmware and back-plane of SC200 could refuse to work with 10N16. New controller is rather pricey so buy to try is a last resort option for me.
Also if anyone has got this controller, is it locked to dell drives only?
