Also you can always use ISDCT to change speed from 3Gbps to 6Gbps.I would like to point out that not all SSDSC2BB800G4T's are 3Gbps only. There are 6Gbps drives. I think it really depends on the serial number of the drives.

Yes, picked up Dell S3700 3gb/s SSD cheap, changed to 6gb/s in 30 second.ah. So it was just a software lock instead of a hardware lock?
Dell had compatibility issues with some of their backplanes.I didn't know there was a 3gb/s version of the S3700. Why the heck would they slow it down?
