Interesting read. My Kingston Fury DDR5 gets very hot too, especially now I'm running it at its EXPO speeds. I was thinking about hooking up some additional fans for a bit of extra airflow but I was stumped by how close the dimm slots are to the cpu socket and the heatsink, but the photos here have given me a couple of ideas. Will see if I can get a couple of brackets printed.

Edit: On my Gigbyte RTX50 Aero D, dimm slots are surround by VRM heatsinks and/or my GPU and the Artic Freezer 4U SP3. There is very little airflow that gets to them. In lieu of a better, 3d printed fan bracket or adaptor for the SP3's inlet fan I've mounted a couple of Noctua's 40mm NF-4Ax20 PWM fans to try and put some airflow over the dimms. At max RPM they're lost in the noise of other things in my set up and have reduced temperatures from 95°C to high 70s to mid 80s when working flat out. At idle they're in the 30-40°C.

I'm going to attempt to make a shroud to aid airflow over the dimms, possibly with the option of a 40mm fan at inlet and outlet. 95°C dimm temperature was more than a little worrying. The design of the Gigabyte board must be expecting a top down cooler or something, the VRM heatsinks block airflow through the dimms.

There was an interesting article on Phoronix about cooling server memory, especially with Turin ddr6000, its impossible to run without cooling.

Corsair Vengeance Airflow Memory Cooling For DDR5 Server RAM Review - Phoronix memory would get hotter than 100degree celcius and throttles because of that, with the coolers they could drop temperatures with 44 degrees.
This is a great guide with excellent visuals! The heat of this new DDR5 memory is so excessive that it needs to be actively cooled!
