Hello,
I have motherboard Supermicro X11SPM-TF with Intel Xeon 4110 CPU. I wanted to increase memory, so I've bought new DDR4 sticks, but they don't work - there are errors during boot and system stucks:
No memory DIMM detected, install memory DIMMs
Memory DIMM incompatible with memory controllers
System Firmware Error (POST Error) - No system memory is physically installed in the system
I've used this memory: MTA36ASF8G72PZ-3G2E1 - Micron 64GB DDR4-3200 2Rx4 RDIMM
I think they don't work because 2Rx4 RDIMM is supported only 16/32 GB according to these images from this PDF. If I want 64 GB sticks, it has to be LRDIMM 4Rx4 and not RDIMM. Is it right? Or is there any possibility to make these sticks work in my motherboard+CPU? I've tried to turn off Enforce POR and set speed manually, but not working.
Thanks for confirmation that I did an expensive mistake.
When I look on motherboard page, there are RDIMM 64 GB. But to have them work, I would need a newer CPU?
