I've got a lab device that takes measurements and once it's finished prints a paper report if a physical usb or network printer is a attached. The device is very simple and I can't install stuff or access its filesystem.
Now I'd like to be able to store those reports as a pdf, without having to print a paper copy and then scan each of them individually. Since it can send jobs to a network printer, I read about cups-pdf and thought that installing the "fake printer" on my Synology NAS could do the trick and store directly the jobs as pdf in a designated folder. I've created a Docker container from this image but the printer isn't showing up when I try to add it by IP (or selecting port).
Any help or alternative would be very appreciated! Thanks!
