I have just bought a refurbished hp dl380 g7 with p410i raid controller.
I have built a raid5 array with five disks and I have discovered that this array is seen by the system and OS only as one big hdd.
I have used some dell servers and there I can configure the raid array as more than one virtual hdd.
Now I will buy a dell c6100 with MR-SAS-8704EM2 raid card.
So I ask:
1) is it possible with p410i to create more than one virtual hdd on same raid array? (I see that you can expand features buying a license key)
2) does the MR-SAS-8704EM2 support creating more than one virtual hdd on same raid array?
