Before listing on eBay I figured I would give everyone here an opportunity first!
I have in my lab a Dell PowerEdge C6100 XS23-TY3 LFF (12-3.5" Bay Chassis), which I run the VMware stack on. This has no drives as I use an EqualLogic array for storage, but has all 12 carriers. It also has (8) L5520 4 core CPU's, 24GB/96GB Total across the 4 nodes and a 10GbE mezzanine card in each node. I have been using this for about 2 years and have about $1200 invested. Yes I know these have come down substantially in price, and I have got my monies worth out of it as I have been able to maintain my certifications leveraging it.
I would look for $650 for the unit. I believe this is fair for the unit which is in a climate controlled room in my basement. I will wait a week to see if there is any interest before listing on eBay.
