I have been waiting for a name brand vendor to finally release a USB 3.2gen2 adapter that can actually reach speeds of ~5gb/s

The price is quite reasonable, and I am considering upgrading my Proxmox cluster to 5gbs.

However, looking at the reviews on Amazon, it may be best to wait.

If you could do an independent review of this new adapter, similar to the reviews you did sometime back on the new 2.5 gbs adapters, that would be great.

For ~$30 this is way better than the $150++ 10 gbs TB adapters, that tend to get hot, and aren't super reliable.

I've got a sabrent based on the aquantia and also a quad port nic. They both work quite well. I used the sabrent on the laptop for bulk syncs reliably. The nic was for AP use and port density.

These days I just TB p2p and get 20gbps with a $30 cable.
