Might be something for the ones that have Ruckus APs. Cheapest I could find on eBay is €70 in the UK or US.

There's seemingly(?) a beefier one with PCI or PCIe expansion slot for not much more (85 €), depending on hardware could make a nice, rack-mountable router with OpenWRT just like 1100. Of course porting it can be anything from total breeze to a mountain to climb and I doubt neither will pull multi-gig through let alone a full gig with SQM.

And as it's not on eBay but on some local Dutch marketplace, I'll pass this one.

The ZD3000 is a 1U core duo machine. They're noisy (most used ones are VERY noisy unless you replace the fans), and use a lot of power compared to a ZD1100 or ZD1200.

The ZD1200 can be a good purchase to e.g. get the latest features on wave 1 AC access points.

The ZD1100 can be a good purchase to run a mesh of pre-unleashed Ruckus APs.

The ZD1000/3000/5000 are not good purchases.

Definitely wouldn't recommend (and this is from someone who has one I'd like to sell).
