Howdy!
I have a Supermicro X9QR7-TF+ that's been running a single E5-4650L for years.
I was wondering if it's possible to add a second CPU into socket #4 while leaving 2 and 3 empty.
CPU4 is the only one that has any features that are valuable to me, and I was unable to find anything in the documentation about whether I have to populate the CPUs in order.
My assumption is that I am able to run either 1+2 or 1+4, but not 1+3 due to 1 and 3 not being directly connected to eachother, but I figure I'd ask you guys since y'all are the home lab experts.
I've attached an image of the block diagram.
