Hi guys,
I'm building a new server and I have a few questions.
The server config looks like this:
Mb.(2 options):
Supermicro X9DRH-7TF or the new Supermicro X9DR7-TF+
Proc.:
2 X Intel Xeon E5-2630(BOX)
Mem.(4 options):
KVR16R11D4/8HC / KVR16R11D4/8 / KVR1333D3D4R9S/8G / KVR1333D3Q8R9S/8G
Chassis(4 options):
Supermicro 825TQ-R740LPB
Supermicro 826BA-R920LPB
Barebone : SuperServer 6027R-72RFT: chassis: 825TQ-R740LPB + mb: X9DRH-7TF
Barebone : SuperServer 6027R-72RFT+: chassis: 825TQ-R740LPB + mb: X9DR7-TF+
So my questions are:
1. What to choose from those two motherboards?
2. The Intel Xeon E5-2630(in retail, Box version) comes with heatsink+fan ? If not what are my options? Go with Supermicro Passive HeatSink or some active cooling?
3. In the memory area: I see on Intel's site that E5-2630 only supports DDR3-800/1066/1333. It is ok to go with DDR3-1600 CL11 instead of DDR-1333 CL9? Also what is the difference between this four memory modules(besides that two are 1600 and two are 1333)? What do you recommend ?
4. What to choose from chassis above? Server barebones worth about 300$ more just because they come together from Supermicro(chassis+mb) ? I saw in a Supermicro barebone manual(6027R-72RFT) something like this: "In addition to the serverboard and chassis, various hardware components have been included with the 6027R-72RF/6027R-72RFT, as listed below:
•Two passive CPU heatsinks (SNK-P0048PS)
•Three 8-cm system fans (FAN-0126L4)
•One air shroud (MCP-310-29001-0N)
•SAS/SATA Accessories One SAS/SATA backplane (BPN-SAS-825TQ) Two 27-cm. iPass to SATA cables (CBL-0176L-02) Eight drive carriers (MCP-220-00092-0B)". This are the extra i'm getting paying ~300$ more ?
I hope you guys can help me with this.
P.S. Sorry for my bad english.
