Hello,

I successfuly get worked BL460C Gen9 without chassis. (with hacked power supply from DELL R620)
Very important for powering is to use good cables -> first try was with cheep "audio" cables and server was crashing to "all blinking" > not enought power.

Summary:

1) Pin 1 + 3 mandatory - so no password / user to ilo - you will connect even with username "a".
2) ILO connected by description above (A10/9 B10/9) (detail)

3) I have no console connector. So, I put LAN from ILO directly to laptop and run wireshark.
4) Few minutes and I found an IPv6 address of ILO - assigned from local range (FE80***) !!!
5) Connected via IPv6 to ILO - change settings to DHCP ... and now I am using normal IPv4 from home LAN.

6) I removed all addons card -> mezzanine FC / Ethernet... and also SAS controller.
7) on G9 there is a SATA connector -> I have cable to 4xSATA so I used it. But it seems I could use only port4 and port3.
In port2/1 I do not have any drive detected.
8) I have now connected 2 SATA SSD - powering via hacked USB cable (to get 5v) -> I have in plan to get working DC/DC regulator from 12V for it.
(under big load - I have an errors on SSD - for now I am not sure if is power issue or what..)
When SSD is only ONE then it seems all is fine.

9) System was installed from USB flash, and then USB flash was replaced with an old Usb2.0 Ethernet (100mb).

G9 have something like PCIe 1x connector for M.2/SSD
Unfortunately an ethernet card is not recognized ...

So report for now :)

TODO:
- Make some pictures :)
- Waiting for Usb3.0 gigabit ethernet as G9 has internaly USB 3.0.
- connect proper dc/dc regulator for 5V for SATA drives.
