Basically this should all be not relevant as you was able to create a snap within napp-it. The difference to autojobs is that they are initiated in the background by a cron job as root and not via user napp-it.

What was the user that has called the job with the permission error. You should use root (or sudo with root permissions) for it as you need root permissions for the zfs command.

when i install i did sudo su to root then install napp-it
cbadmin is the first account that happen when you install openindina you ask for a user that then has sudo access

when i tested the perl command it was root
as i know napp-it and everything go throught root
yes i know zfs and zpool command are root based

so we back to why autosnap done by cron which is running and think it doing snap but is not
