asus P12R-E + xeon e-2300 -> memory error (53), doesn't boot

Hi everyone,

I met with the following problem: I have a brand new asus p12r-e MB (with the latest bios) + 2x32Gb ksm32ed8/32hc (UDIMM ECC that is compatible with MB, DDR4-3200 CL22 ) + Xeon E-2300 CPU and met the error - > no memory (err 53).

2x32Gb memories are installed at DIMM_B2 and DIMM_A2 (according to the manual)

looks that current UDIMM is compatible with CPU and MB. Any ideas why I get the issue and what could be the solution?

Are you on the latest bios? Support may have a beta bios available. I would try a single stick, try each slot. Also check under the processor for bent pins.

A1 is second, only if A2 populated,

I have also DDR4 ECC Registered DIMM (DDR4 | Synology Inc.) for test from Synology,

but I think it won't work because E-2300 doesn't support Reg.DIMM

sure not.
have you a picture of your memory ? maybe they delivered RDIMM by mistake...
or missng some components ?

no its OK.
maybe you can get a cheap ECC UDIMM to sort this memory out.

with outside case -> didn't manage... MB Supports ATX2.0 PSU ... I have as an second PSU only ATX (with 1 connector) ... and it doesn't work with ATX (not 2.0)
