Yes, although the board does look brand new, and has CPU cover.Helpful. Maybe not surprising if the m/b has been in storage for a few years.

bxxlshit: there is no unlocked 2nd gen scalable, not even an ES chip. One more thing. I've seen the 8272CL advertised on ebay as Unlocked in one listing, but not in any other listings or elsewhere. Is this likely true? and if so does that apply to all Xeon CL 2nd gen chips or even OEM chips in general?
note there are only 6 channels(ABCDEF), two channels(A,D) have two DIMM slots.if that 37% benchmark for the 8-DIMM config applies.
Does this mean if I use 8259CL or similar Xeon metal then first pcie x16 will be disabled no matter what?*SLOT1 is only supported for Intel® Xeon® W-3200 Processors
correct, there is no switch,Does this mean if I use 8259CL or similar Xeon metal then first pcie x16 will be disabled no matter what?
sure ( QRD7/QRMM )Anyone tested QS Xeon W-32xx in this board? thinking about buying a W-3235 QS QQVT for it
Thanks for your answer,sure ( QRD7/QRMM )
QQVT should be B1 (same than production)
all 2nd gen ES/QS work, but no skylake ES with stock BIOS.
What do you mean with "too late"?to late, W-3235 QS was under 200€ ( EU ) last year.
silver 4108 goes for 20 bucks today
???
sold out and i don't think there are more...
edit: out of MACs
Instead of sending the board back, it got a new bios chip with bios from -2T and it works out of the box. Recognized more than 1* Optane DCPMM module now.So now there's a 53 and this board goes back.
If you need 16 threads only you can get W-3223s for under 90 Eur....
135€+VAT (maybe less)
Yeah, thought about them first, but I think I need a bit more power for this one...If you need 16 threads only you can get W-3223s for under 90 Eur
Great that you found a solution!Instead of sending the board back, it got a new bios chip with bios from -2T and it works out of the box. Recognized more than 1* Optane DCPMM module now.
