ASrock B550D4U IPMI issues

Needed to build a basic "server" for a friend, more of a desktop+ build. Only wanted a server board vs desktop for ease of management with IPMI. I came upon the B550D4U at newegg, and it seemed to fit the bill. Didn't do enough due diligence, as the motherboard didn't come with a manual, only a 1 page quick start sheet, and there is not one online I can find. Main issue is with the IPMI. Can connect with the management utility but basically cant use any of the important functions, like remote control, bios settings, or even remote power control, and the has a tendency to stop responding requiring me to unplug system to reset.Nothing on the product page, so I can't try reflashing original BMC firmware Have emailed ASrock, but nothing yet. Any ideas? Thanks

Thank you that worked. The reflash was a stupid idea born out of frustration. The only documentation I received and that is available was a quick start guide that just showed physical assembly. ASrock support site did not show that IPMI guide guide, only this https://www.asrockrack.com/support/ https://www.asrockrack.com/support/SMU.asp so I went down that path assuming it was the correct one.

Did you have to enter a user/credentials? I can image that some basic stuff works but other stuff required a valid user and permissions.
Does the whole system stop or the ipmi stuff?
