Hi,
I hope you're doing well. I recently purchased a used Arista DCS-7170 switch and it comes with firmware EOS-DPE-4.24.2.4F. I'm trying to load EOS-4.26.6M.swi but after I reload the unit it comes back to aboot and when I enter "boot /mnt/flash/EOS-DPE-4.24.2.4F.swi" command it shows the error:
unzip: short read

After I boot it again with the old firmware EOS-DPE-4.24.2.4F.swi, I check the dir /all and the new image EOS-4.26.6M.swi now appears as 0 byte, and before the reload it had around 1GB.

What could be happening?

Thanks,

Did you find a solution? We have a similar issue where the 7170 boots to aboot and none of the software I have loads.

What does it say when trying to load 4.26.6M ? How much space is left on the device? Capture the terminal of the whole process and put in here

Plenty of space on the drive. I can do the recovery procedure with the 3 files on the flash drive and do a boot, save the a new start up but then the switch reboots it complains that the boot-config does not have a SWI entry and all of the filesizes are 0 in /mnt/flash

Got the same issue with 7148t.
So what I did to resolve: mounted USB flash to my PC and got some weird error message, like "read-only file system". I couldn't delete EOS.swi even as a root. md5sum also didn't work.

I've just got another USB flash, copied EOS.swi, made sure md5sum works fine for /mnt/myusb/EOS.swi on PC displaying the correct MD5, properly unmounted USB from PC, inserted into the switch and reboot went fine after that.
