I've noticed there's a lot of sellers offering supposedly brand new HPE branded SSDs shipped from China with too good to be true prices, like this one https://www.ebay.pl/itm/305376638531?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=4908-175131-2357-0&ssspo=u0r4ab5cr6-&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=Ltkvzc8CSSy&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY. Has anyone tried ordering some of those? Are those legit new drives? Is there even a way of validating if a drive is indeed new, not a fake, and that it's SMART data was not altered?

Isn't that a decent price for a brand new server grade SSD? I'm located in Poland and I can't really find anything cheaper... I'm also looking specifically at HPE drives because I heard that the dl380 can be quite picky about the installed drives and will spin up the fans if it doesn't like it.
G8 does although it is in increments around ~20% for disk behind fan cant remember the exact value since i got rid of it.
Though p420 raid will be always the most hot thing in it.
