Are the APC SMT2200 tower UPS units noisy?

The rack mount units don't make any noise when connected to utility but I read that the tower units have fan operation when on utility. Can anyone confirm this? Specifically the units with the LCD control panels on the front.

I think most online UPS will have active fan when its on utility regardless of the form factor.

oops my fault, I should've checked before posting.. Unfortunately I don't have much info on APC non online versions.
