I’ve got a large number of 9 bay SAS expander chassis. The problem I’m facing is that they have 26 pin SFF-8086 connectors. This is basically a narrower version of the common 36 pin SFF-8087 but without sideband.
Is there any available cable that’s got SFF-8086 on one end and something else on the other end (other than breakout cables, which won’t help).
Ideally I’d like to get from either SFF-8087 or SFF-8643 to SFF-8086. This will drop the sideband, which is fine. In a pinch, SFF-8088 (the external cable) to SFF-8086 would also work.
Also, is there a favorite cheap old SFF-8086 to SFF-8086 cable floating around? Even these seem uncommon.
