I have many issues running Linux on the same board. I've tried Linux Mint and Pop OS. The system completely freezes about a minute after boot up when using Linux. I have tried both NVMe and SATA boot drives with USB and DVD installation. The irony is that an unsupported version of Windows actually runs better.

In my experience, mageia 8 works great.

Unfortunately, its replacement mageia 9 works for the first boot, but freezes after that.
I sent in bug reports about linux freezing to mageia's bugzilla.

kubuntu 23.10 also freezes as soon as you log in.

I really wonder what the issue is. It isn't my graphics card, as it freezes with the open source nvidia driver as well as the framebuffer graphics driver.

And my H11SSL-i works without any problems.

Are you guys using new, retail mainboards? or used boards from ebay/aliexpress/other platforms?

fedora 39 with 6.6.14 kernel works great. With the 6.7.4 kernel it fails to finish booting, and reboots spontaneously. I reported the issue to fedora.

I had spontaneous restart issues with popOS on a machine with a Supermicro H11DSi mobo and two high frequency 16 core Epyc 7f52 processors. A quick fix was to disable Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) in the BIOS. Ultimately, the issue was resolved long term and I was able to activate SMT by increasing airflow across the board.
