Think we have different definitions of cheap. They are going for around US$600 on EBay

I was thinking more of a board from a server that has been broken up for spares. As long as I can put a ATX psu on it, a processor and some ram, it should do.

Yeah. Have seen some desktop boards around and just wondered if there was anything better in the reconditioned / second hand server market. Something like the board SeanG86s mentioned but maybe a gen or two older.
If you have some LGA1155 boards then let me know as I may be interested.
