Hi,

does anyone happen to know if an Amphenol 100G split cable (AHST P/N NDAQGF-0006) will work with Mellanox switches/cards?

Thanks

I can't speak for amphenol specifically, but i've used Arista and Intel qsfp28 breakouts on my SN2700 without problems, mellanox switches aren't picky about vendor coding.
The only thing I would note is that if you are using a QSFP28 to 4 SFP28, it will switch over lanes from an adjacent port, so when I set my 1/29 port to breakout to 4 sfp28, port 1/30 became completely disabled.

Yea i also think it will work, just got a bit worried when the seller said he wouldnt confirm it should work. Annoying when importing stuff since returns would be a pain in the behind.

Disabling ports on split shouldnt be a problem on my SN2100. At least it didnt use to be on the 6012. Haven't actually checked, but have not seen issues while randomnly splitting ports;)

I had another look at the datasheets for SN2100 and SN2700, you are correct.
I assume these are running the same switchchip, and that the SN2100 doesn't need to disable ports by virtue of having fewer ports to begin with and not needing to switch lanes between ports.
