There's been a lot of posts on the Topton N5105 and N6005 boards and it got me looking around for other interesting networking boards. I came across this thing: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804371902281.html ( $319.00 - 379.00)

I haven't made the purchase yet. I'm actually waiting to see if they would make a variant of this board with the Atom C3758 more oriented toward NAS usage. But the interesting thing is that it seems to have a 12V barrel jack but also a 4-pin 12v connector, maybe can be powered by either one.

But the interesting thing is that it seems to have a 12V barrel jack but also what looks like a 4-pin power for the CPU. I have not seen anything like this before. Wondering if anyone is familiar with how to properly power this board. I sent a few questions to the seller, not sure if they know.
The seller replied back that the 6 LAN ports are i225. Intel Ethernet Connection X553 for SFP+ ports. They also mentioned that the full unit is this https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804412661515.html. The last mention is that "at present, this machine is better on Opensense and Debian systems, and other systems are not fully compatible."

Here is the user manual I received from the seller. They said that they are the manufacturer as well. C3558 Product Manual

it is missing a display/video chip comparing to supermicro's ones, but it has a COM port for serial output?

It looks like it.
This board has no support for Registered ECC RAMs that is supposed the popular designs of the boards for Atom 3000 series. And it is designed for a regular network equipment, no VGA but with serial output.

It let me remembered about the Netgate 6100 of pfSense. They are similar. If this board's BIOS update will last 3 years, it is worth a try as a firewall board.

Looks like this is the manufacturer's page for the board Seavo Technology. It only supports up to 32gb. Which would be more than enough for a firewall. Adequate for running a few container services as well. I was more interested in it for the low power CPU.
