If you just want to light up a VM with a GPU you can get an M10, which is built out of 4 750's behind a PCIe switch.
M10 is a little too old. Is there an equivalent M10 that's at least Pascal with multiple GPU on a single card so I can directly pass through each GPU onto a VM?

Thanks

Yeah, M10 isn't supported in vSphere 8 so I went with the Tesla P40 since performance for the price, supportibility, having up to 24 vGPUs, and only being $140 or so on the second-hand market, made it a great option for me. I'll get mine installed on Monday and try the GPU unlocking workaround then for licensing.

I am not in IT so I am very green when it comes to non-standard setup like this. If you can get a P40 simulated license server to work, please export the license server VM and put it on google drive or something so I can give it a try or document step by step better than what the github has.

Thanks

I did and didn't see any detail. I checked out the #licensing and #esxi_xen_status

There's a lot more info with promox host. Not much on esxi beside the github instruction.

It would be illegal, would get DMCA takedown by nv... you can't imagine how hard it was to get people to share the vgpu drivers in first place.
You need to know that by nvidia views this is piracy.

Just to be certain of the current status of things, is this correct:
1) vgpu_unlock doesn’t work with ESXi
2) vgpu_unlock doesn’t work with Ampere+ cards
3) FastAPI-DLS is working up to v3.1 so basically all cards up to Ampere that has vgpu capability (irrespective of host thus ESXi = ok)
Not sure if I captured it correctly or am I missing anything?

I can confirm P100 is very stable on proxmox (con is missing codecs like h265, and odd dx/gl support level)

In my Case I dont want use Games but Software who run on an Desktop like Google Earth and other Software.
Do I need to care about anything HW wise?
Since my Huawei Server was equipt with an PCI-E Grapbic Card Riser Card I guess it should work. Do the require a Power Cable?

sry for the double post can you (if you have Time) install an Andoid X86 + GitHub - bk138/droidVNC-NG: VNC server app for Android that does not require root privileges.
With an Internal, Virtual,... GPU it dont work that VNC show the Desktop. I hope with that I can install multiple Android OS to install Software Company force to use.
In my experience running an android emulator inside of a VM is excruciatingly slow…I sure wouldn’t want to spend any time at all using such a config.

But what you want to do should work. Really no need to “test” it.
