Adaptec site does not list this model under their 8 series HBAs. Anyone has worked with this card? Appreciate any feedback.

For thrill seekers..
All indications point to 16i Adaptec 12gbps HBA. But I can't seem to find any info on Adaptec's site or otherwise.
Seems like a good price for such a card. Seller ratings not stellar.. appear to have been knocked down due to couple of negative reviews.

That's becuase these cards are an oem version of the 1000-16i for dell and hp.
There are also oem versions of the 1000-16e on ebay that are dell branded.
Decided to try this out. Found out it's based on an older pmc 8076 based 12gbps controller and not the controller used in 1000 series HBAs. Was able to see some updated FW on Supermicro site and was successful in updating but could not get in to the bios.
