6GB/s vs 12GB/s cables

How can I distinguish 12GB/s from 6 GB/s SAS cable; e.g. "MINI SAS SFF 8643 -> SFF-8087".

When I look in ebay they all look the same. Is there any difference ???

Nope, same cables, different connectos.

What connectors does your controller and expander have?

LSI 9361 (12GB/s)has MINI SAS SFF 8643
HPE SAS Expander (12GB/s) has SFF-8087

When I configure LSI to auto-negotiate or 12GB/s speed I get all kind of short dropouts of the expander.
When I configure LSI to 6GB/s all works fine, so I started to doubt cables aren't good,

but this could be compatibility issue between these two when speed is 12GB/s . I have few these LSIs and few expanders, all same problem.
