I had a couple of this monitor and returned them.

Their color is way off, trying to calibrate it without success.

Also they're only 60hz thro DP, which my AMD cards support. However i cant stand the color inaccuracy.

They're great for programmers who just look for extra real estate tho.

For $800, I think the Phillips panel OP talked about is great, but if you can settle for Super MVA panels (a huge step up from TN, but not quite as good as IPS; see TFTCentral for more info), the 40" 4K monitors from Korea are outstanding. I use a Crossover 404K and it calibrated just fine using displaycalgui. For ~$550, these types of panels are great. Ebay search here for your convenience: 3840x2160 (amh, wasabi mango, crossover) | eBay

There's another Korean maker of these displays called Microboard, but they seem to be very difficult to find now. They were a cut above the rest in terms of aesthetics and build quality.

I do gaming, but mostly at 2560x1440, just for performance reasons. I use a liquid cooled OC'd R9 290, for reference. I mostly enjoy the 4k for productivity and video editing.

I've never owned a WM panel, but I've never heard bad things about them. I think you'd be just fine. TekSyndicate did a review of the slightly bigger 42" WM

After I found out the Philips also supports multiclient eg 4 systems on the same monitor borderless full HD, it made for a better deal than the Dell monitor.
Now, hoping we will get a side by side comparison on picture quality etc.

I couldn't verify from the links but does anyone know if the wasabi mango support the quad pbp ie 4x 1080p subsection ingredients of the display using g independent inputs like the phillips?

I have the 40" version of that Philips. It's a VA panel, but I love it. It's great having four 1080P screens with four separate connectors. I could run a single 4K output, but I like breaking it up. So I use a 760GTX to output HDMI, MHL-HDMI, DisplayPort, and Mini-DisplayPort. The cables to do that were an extra $80. But totally worth it!
