<$400 HGST Ultrastar He8 8TB too good to be true?

Every so often I check prices on 6-8TB hard drives to see if it's economical to upgrade, and I came across this through the newegg marketplace. I see these going for around $550 USD elsewhere, so this is a great deal if legitimate. It says 5 year warranty but I wonder if they're OEM...

$43/TB is a good value on He8 drives. I bought some from Amazon seller 2CRSI. They are an HGST OEM in France selling drives through Amazon. They have an office in California which participates in FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon). Apparently HGST OEMs in Europe are allowed to transfer the HGST 5 year warranty. When 2CRSI sells to customers in the US they transfer the HGST warranty. After the transfer (which may take a few weeks), you do get 5 year HGST warranty in the US. Don't know if that's the case from BuyVPC.
