I'm in the market for a top-of-rack core switch, with minimum 24x 25Gb SFP28 ports and 4x QSFP28 uplinks. For a simple project that requires simple L3 such as inter-VLAN routing of multicast packets. Must support IGMP Snooping V3.

Been looking at new and used FS.com, Edge-Core, Mellanox, Dell etc, but would appreciate any hidden gems suggestions.

Budget definitely doesn't stretch to new Cisco with associated licensing...

Many thanks in advance!

may not work for your project but I bought an arista 7060cx awhile ago for around $1K. I was able to connect several 25GE servers via a 4x25 to 1 100G DAC cable. It also worked with fiber breakouts.

25GBE switches are pretty expensive, the closes you can get are 100GBE switches with breakout cables.
But even the used 100GBE switches are at 500%+ of pre covid prices... (not counting the white box switches or switches with atom cpus with the AVR54 bug that go for 1k or less on ebay)

I’ve been following 10gb 48P switches for the past few months and you could find many arista examples or even Cisco for sub $1k before but now the prices are crazy.
