I'd be wary about direct imports as people here have been having issues with memory errors on such modules lately (probably fakes).

I was curious to ask the seller.
The reply is that this batch of memory is deleted from the server of supermicro.
This batch of memory should be a customized version.
There is no Kingston model.

Pretty quick turn around on shipping; I received 16x 8GB today, all marked Kingston as seen in the attached. I will hopefully be able to install/test them this weekend and report back my findings.

Darn it there goes releasing my hoard of 8gb ecc udimms and converting it into some geld... :(
sorry kids - no college fund for you!

I guess $20 per stick is the go to price now.

Actually its nice to see this coming down - there's hope for DDR4 yet too!
I found the DDR4 16GB 2133P to be super cheap too.
30+ dollars can be purchased.

Man I wish these were SODIMMs so I can max out my spare M6500 with 32GB RAM.

Does anyone know if I can use this modules on a "consumer" board like the ASUS Rampage IV paired with a Xeon?

I don't have this motherboard. Unable to get the result.
But many motherboards are compatible with this.

I picked up 4 of these because they were so cheap and just got them today. I tossed them into an X10SLM+-LN4F system and it detected it all and booted just fine. This weekend I'll probably swap it over to my filer that's an X9SCM as the memory has been interchangeable between the two so far.

The shipping was fast considering it came from Hong Kong. I think they got to Seattle in under a week.

If anybody has an older e3 system that they need some ddr3 for, this is a pretty good deal IMO.
