Hey

Thanks for info! Yeah I been reading them slowly.

I plan to use 2-3 10sfp to use for nas, 1-2 for workstaiton and 5-10 for render nodes.

Atm I was leaning towards HP PROCURVE 2900-24G SWITCH + 2x expansion 10gbs card. I'm just not sure if 1 card = 2 ports = 10gbs each or if each port if 5gbs...

Thanks for JetStream 24-Port ! I looked at tpLink but I missed that variant. Its amazinf that its 4 port! Chances are I might buy it unless I get cheaper one off ebay or smthing.

Hi Darek,
I've got Netgear ProSAFE M5300-52G3 (layer 3) with additional two AX743-10000s modules.
  • 48x 1GB
  • 4x 1GB SFP
  • 2x 10GBase-T
  • 4x 10GB SFP+ (with ax743 modules)
Let me know if you would be interested

If you want more than 4 x 10G best to look at used enterprise kit ( it will use more power and produce more noise and heat)
Or for a little more $ the Cisco / HP etc lower end offerings you find a few.

You can generally get really good value from used switches.
