Has anyone seen optics that support 100GbE over 1 lane?

I think they mean bi-directional communication over a single fiber, not two like both of those (duplex-LC).

"simplex-LC" is what you'd be after, I believe.

Does it have to be MMF or is SMF okay? There is 400GBase-DR / 100GBase-DR, which works over Duplex SMF

He means single lambda. 100Gb is usually 4x25 or 2x50, much like 40Gb is 4x10.

What I find odd is he linked a fiber store part, which if he looks just a little bit more, he’ll find the item he’s looking for, which is this…

There’s even a filter to search for single lambda optics, though their results leave much to be desired.

No SR optics yet that I’m aware of.

100GBase-DR is also single lambda, if 500m is enough

i think if you search for coherent optics you can find single lamda optics from 100Gbps to 400Gbps maybe up to 800Gbps these days.
