I built a network in my office and terminated everything in a 10" rack. I am currently looking for a hardware I will put in it.

Pictures will be posted when I have some.

What I am currently looking for:
- 8 port 10" switch with ears
- a small PC (or server) that will fit in there with at least 2x2,5" drives - it can be as high as 3U (I might be able to put there 4U" if I try hard - it doesn't have to be rack chassis, it just have fit there.

The rack I bought is this one: RBA-06-AS3–CAX–C1 (Wall-mounted cabinet RBA - 10 | www.triton-racks.de)

Save yourself the pain and just get a "desktop" format switch of your choosing (10" wide or less, obviously) and put it on a rack shelf. What do you need in a switch? How many ports? POE(+)? Gig/10G? Management?

what does the pc have to do? I feel like there are ITX chassis that would fit those requirements although you'd end up mounting it sidewase due to how shallow that is.

I already got 2 small shelfs, so the switch is ok. I am just trying if somebody has something similar. I am waiting ofr RouterBoard 3011 desktop version, so I would put it there. Unfortunately I have very poor performance with RB2011.

As a mini ITX PC - it will server several LXC containers as dev vms, nothing extrem, 16G RAM is enough (it is currently hosted on a laptop with 4G RAM with no issue). I just want to get rid of it and have data on raid.
