I don't have experience with this particular adapter but I have very mixed experiences with those types.

1. It will depend on 3.3/5V support of drive and or adapter
2. I have one 1.8 Intel S3700 which worked without any issue for years until I got 3
3. Got a mix of Dell 1.8 SM863's and 3610's and bought a 3.3 and 5V compatible adapter and all but one drive would not work. Spent hours on trying different combinations (even with the adapter from (2)) - in the end none of my 7 drives was working any more. Luckily I could return 5 of them, but I am not keen on trying more adapters tbh

If you have 3.3v on your SATA power supply most any of them should work.

If you don't have 3.3v, welcome to a world of hurt. I had a couple hundred drives I needed to adapt and bought just about every adapter I could find... It sucked. Random drives (of the same variety) work with random adapters.

I realize out of stock this isn't super helpful, but these are the only ones I have had consistent luck with (with my drives!):

It would appear they have an inductor that cleans up the power sufficiently where others do not.

I've been able to get this supplier to add more to Amazon "on demand" when I offer to buy in bulk.

I don't think this fits OP's use case but sometime back I came across a thread talking about the IBM / Lenovo's 8 x 1.8 drive cage (59Y6266). Typical of IBM/HP/Dell the power connector is non standard. Add the issue of adjustments to fit to the intended chassis. Thought it might meet someone else's need.
