In a few months I'll be moving to a new house and it's time to start planning the network layout/topology.
The current state and equipment (nothing fancy):
Hardware - all located in one single room (wired):
APU - pfsense
NAS - Freenas
AP - Unifi LR AP
Switch - MikroTik...

Hey all, I am looking for some guidance on my home network rebuild. Here are some details:
I have a 400/20 mbit cable connection to the house
My house is a ~1600sqft (i think) ranch with drywall and unfinished full basement
All rooms are wired with cat5/6
I use a WNDR3700 with openwrt on it...
I recently purchased my first house and I am looking to cable the house with the latest and greatest cables I can find to make it some what future proof. I've never had to do any cabling of this scale before, so I am interested to here other peoples experiences.

Disclaimer: I am not an IT professional but I like messing/learning/building and making my wife mad as I spend $$$ on our home network. She thinks that having a huge rack server with tons of stuff is only for bussines environment. Well, not for me. So I will keep spending :)
